AFCON 2019: Nigeria to Play against Tunisia in 3rd Place Final

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play against Tunisia in the Third Place Final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt

The Super Eagles lost to the Algeria during the Semi Final game on Sunday. Eagles lost 2-1 to the Algeria.

Senegal also qualified for the Final after defeating Tunisia 1-0.

Earlier on Sunday, the Nigerian Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and other top government functionaries on Sunday joined the Super Eagles in Egypt for the ongoing ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Others in the government delegation according to a statement by Mohammed Isa, the Special Assistant to Lawan on Media and Publicity are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos States, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Habu Gumel and a representative of the Presidency; Capt. Hosa Okunbo.

Also included are the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Olusade Adesola, Muhammad Gambo, the ministry’s Director of Facilities and former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung.
