David Mark’s PDP Screening Committee Clears 15 Presidential Aspirants, Disqualifies 2

The Peoples Democratic Party screening committee led by the former Senate President, Senator David Mark on Friday cleared 15 Presidential Aspirants to contest for its primary next Month, May.

Out of the 17 aspirants screened 2 were disqualified though Mark did not give their names.

Senator David Mark, disclosed this to journalists shortly after the conclusion of the exercise at Legacy House, Abuja, at 7pm.

He did not disclose the identities of the disqualified aspirants and the reasons for their disqualification.

Mark simply noted that the aspirants did not meet the requirements.

He noted that the report of Friday’s screening will be transmitted to the PDP National Working Committee for consideration.

Those who have indicated interest to contest Presidential Election under the platform of PDP include former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed;

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose; ex-Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi; media personality, Dele Momodu are among the PDP Presidential Aspirants.
