Don’t be Abuja Politician, be in Touch with Your Constituents – Deputy Speaker, Wase Warns

The Deputy Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase has called on the federal lawmakers not to abandon their constituents who voted them into power.

Wase said some of the lawmakers turned themselves into Abuja politicians immediately they got inaugurated in Abuja for a four-year tenure.

Wase who is representing Wase Federal Constituency of Plateau State made this known on Thursday night at a grand reception in honour of legislators of 9th National Assembly from the state.

The event which took place at National Assembly was organized by the Plateau State Indigenes Forum in National Assembly which has the Permanent Secretary, Gregory Dakyap as the host.

Wase said “Don’t be Abuja politician. Visit your people, go home.
“I’m not bothered whether you are PDP or APC but let put our hands together and build Plateau State and our nation.

“Let people benefit from our individual and collective efforts.”
