Drama as Tinubu’s Campaign DG. Jibrin Dumps APC

Another political drama is set to unfold as the Director General of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Support Groups Management Council (ABATSGMC) Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It is not certain whether his announcements is a precursor to a bigger news yet to unfold.

He said, “I have done my best for APC. Its time to move on.l

“I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah. I will make a formal statement in due course,” he said, signing off with his name.

Jibrin, a former Chairman of House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, could not return when he lost his reelection bid in 2020.

He lost his federal constituency in Kano state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Aliyu Detti Yako in a rerun election on January 25, 2020.

His decision to dump the ruling party is coming shortly after the Supreme Court sacked the Kano State APC EXCO loyal to the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Senate Appropriation Committee Chairman, Senator Jibrin Barau. The apex court upheld the faction of APC loyal to the State Governor, Ganduje

The embattled Kano politician had ran out of favour with his party which earned him a suspension from the APC by the Bebeji Local Council chapter, Kano State a year earlier.
He has been in a struggle for the soul of his political carrier within the party structure in his home State
