Minimum Wage Bill Gets to National Assembly

The Nigerian Senate on Thursday confirmed it has recieved the National Minimum Wage Bill from the Executive arm of government.

In the letter read by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu during plenary session, President Muhammadu urged the lawmaker to work on the bill and pass it on time in order to meet up with the yearning of the labour unioins.

“Mr. Senate President, I hope if the bill is passed on time, it would stabilise the nation’s
economy and avoid workers’ strike,” part of the letter said.
