Nigeria Decides: Ashiru, Hunkuyi Reacts to Election in Kaduna

Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, a representative of Kaduna North Senatorial District and Isah Ashiru, Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna state have expressed their views over the presidential and National Assembly Election in the state.

Hunkuyi expressed his concern over the distribution of sensitive materials by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Kaduna State.

Senator Hunkuyi who is the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Kaduna North Senatorial District said there should be standard to be adopted by INEC in the distribution of sensitive materials.

According to him, election materials were being mo-pup in some areas in order to meet up with the demands in other areas where the materials were not enough.

This medium also learnt that some of the INEC sensitive materials where mixed up in some places like in Sabon Gari, Zaria Local Government Areas.

According to Hunkuyi, some of the materials in short supply were only noticed at the poling units which contradicts the materials obtained from Central Bank of Nigeria. The APC Senatorial Candidate in the zone (Kaduna North) hails from Sabon Gari LG.

Isah Ashiru on the other hand expressed confidence that his party will win the elections in the state.

Ashiru who voted around 11.20 am said he has not received any serious complaint from his local government.

Senator Hunkuyi also cast his vote in his home town, Hunkuyi, Kudan LG at about 12:20pm.
