The former Nigerian Senate Leader and current representative of Borno South Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume said he will soon setup a foundation that will cater for the less privileged people, notably the orphans, the poor and unemployed youths.
Ndume in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday also called on people in leadership position to demonstrate serious and sincere service that will lead to the growth and development of the nation and entire humanity.
Ndume further advised the leaders, especially the elected, to always be with the people with a view to knowing the people’s yearnings and aspirations to proffer solutions.
He appealed to the youths to contribute their quota to nation building and ensure self-reliance in order to sustain national development.
He decried a situation in which some youths always looked up to government before they could stand on their own.
”Our youths should imbibe the concept of self-belief, development and self-reliance, have faith in God and Nigeria because the country has opportunities for them.
”In doing that, they will realise that they have potential to tap for self development to harness the opportunities that abound in Nigeria,” he said.
Ndume is among the 65,000 Nigerian pilgrims to the 2019 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
