In response to police request that Senator, Dino Melaye, representative of Kogi West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, to surrender himself to them, he said he not do so because of evil intention of current leadership of the police.
In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Melaye compared his predicament to that of Elijah in the Bible, vowing to remain in his hideout.
Melaye had earlier who alleged that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris has a plan to inject him to death if he is arrested.
Melaye’s house has been under police since last week Friday,police vowed to remain there until he surrenders himself to them.
He said in the tweet that there is difference between being scared and being wise.
