2023: Kwankwaso Emerges NNPP Presidential Candidate, Promises Unity, Fight against Insecurity

…Change we voted for under APC was in reverse, mirage – Senator Ibrahim Shekarau


The former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has emerged as the Candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP for the 2023 Presidential Election.

His emergence follwed a voice vote by the delegates from the 774 local government areas affirming him as the flag-bearer of NNPP for the next presidential election.

The National Convention/Presidential Primary Election which took place at the National Station in Abuja had several people from across the country in attendance.

Governorship Candidates and all other candidates for state assembly and National Assemby election were also in attendance.

Kwankwaso in his acceptance speech promised to unite the country and fight against insecurity. He also promised to focus on eduction, agriculture and among others if elected.

He called on Nigerians to get PVC and vote for NNPP for all level of elections as well as defend their vote during election.

On his side, the former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau said he dumped APC because the change they voted for several years ago was in reverse and a mirage. He asked Nigerians to vote for NNPP for positive change.
